HerStory: Erin

We love celebrating pregnancy. We love hearing women's stories and focusing on the excitement and anticipation.  Here's an interview with one of our customers (and a friend). She talks about her pregnancy with her 3rd child.

Did you find out the gender? Why/Why not?
No! I am a planner by nature, but my husband really wanted to wait until the birth this time. Since we found out with our first two children, I decided to do this for him. It was really hard, especially when the nurse called with my blood work results; I could have found out without anyone ever knowing! But, I’m really glad we waited...it was fun having friends (& plenty of strangers!) speculate and to have that special surprise for our third child. I was not not shocked when they told me he was a boy, but I was surprised to have a baby with a full head of dark hair this time!

Did you always want 3 children?
My whole life! We always said 2 or 3 when discussing number of children, but I knew 3 was my number and I can’t imagine it any other way now.

How did you tell your husband you were pregnant?
text (!)

Any cravings this pregnancy?
Cinnamon. I also had an aversion for coffee and deli meat.

What’s different about this pregnancy?
Everything happens sooner and more intensely the third time around. Also, I didn’t have any morning sickness - he had me wrapped around his finger early!

What are your hopes for this child?
I want him to grow up full of love and wonder, to be kind to others, and strive to make a positive impact on the world and people around him.

Did you have a “must have” product during this pregnancy?
Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Balm

What’s one piece of advice you would give other pregnant women?
If this is your first pregnancy, do what you love as often as possible now - dinner at a nice restaurant, going to the movies, etc. - that gets complicated once your little bundle arrives. Enjoy it as much as possible; it’s such a special time in your life!

We totally agree with Erin's advice about enjoying this special time in your life.  We all had some fun when she was a model for a photoshoot. Checkout the pictures below. Photo credits: Jenna Lea Photography
